XtruClear sheets and film have high optical clarity, high transparency and great light transmission properties, both before and after machining. This makes XtruClear suitable for a wide range of challenging applications.

Description

XtruClear is a range of high-quality, thermoplastic, amorphous, polyester sheets. Thanks to XtruClear’s flexible fabrication properties, it can be used to produce products with complex shapes and demands. As well as this, Xtrupak is cost-effective, has excellent transparency, high impact resistance, chemical resistance and prints to an immaculate standard, making it a fantastic option in many situations.

They are suitable for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications including food contact and medical applications. XtruClear is not suitable to be used in UV stabilised products but can be used in gamma radiation sterilisation.

XtruClear sheets can be cold bent (<2mm) and do not require drying prior to forming. They can be made from compositions of Virgin PET, post-industrial PET or post-consumer PET levels to suit any end-user demands.

Applications

XtruClear products are highly adaptable thanks to their high optical clarity, transparency and light transmission properties. They can be used in various situations either before or after machining.

The thermoplastic sheets and film can be adapted to the most demanding situations across a range of industries and applications. This is thanks to the high impact strength, excellent rigidity, ultra-fast forming cycle times and good deep-draw behaviour with uniform wall thickness.

XtruClear is suitable to be used for external applications for up to 5 years as it is a natural PET. This can be increased to 10 years if an optional UV absorbing, cap layer, surface protection is added to both sides via co-extrusion.

Recyclability
Polyester is manufactured with low energy and all inputs are 100% recyclable.
Packaging
Stacked on timber pallets with cardboard protection, plastic strapping, polyethylene sheet and stretch wrapped.
Weather Resistance
Naturally excellent weather resistance, but can be extended with UV treatments.
